Stint
Terms of Use
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Stint for use of the Stint app. By creating an account you accept them. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.
Who can use Stint
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for what happens under it.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour
Stint has a social feed, friend groups and shared sessions. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users, and there is no warning system for serious cases.
You must not use Stint to:
- harass, bully, threaten, intimidate or impersonate anyone;
- post sexual content, content involving minors in any sexual context, hate speech, or content promoting violence, self-harm or illegal activity;
- post spam, scams, or links to malware;
- share anyone's personal information without their permission;
- attempt to reach other users' data, or interfere with the service.
The places you can write free text — your display name, username, subject names, session notes and shared targets — are all covered by this rule.
How we enforce it. Every user can report content or another user, and can block anyone, from inside the app. We review reports and act within 24 hours, removing offending content and ejecting users who post it. Blocking is immediate and does not wait for us.
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it in the app.
Your content
What you write stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to operate the app — to store your content and show it to the people you have chosen to share it with. We do not use your content to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.
Copyright and the DMCA
We respect copyright, and we expect the same of you. Don't post content you don't have the right to post.
If you believe something on Stint infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent:
Copyright Compliance Department 2Fine LLC 418 Broadway STE N Email: 2finellc@gmail.com
For us to act on it, your notice needs to include:
- your signature, physical or electronic;
- what work you say was infringed;
- what content on Stint you say infringes it, described well enough that we can find it;
- how to contact you — address, phone, email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
We remove content we determine to be infringing, and we terminate the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address, containing your signature and contact details, identifying the removed content and where it appeared, and stating under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
Subscriptions
Stint is free to use. Stint Pro is an optional paid subscription that adds depth: deeper analytics, unlimited groups and exam tracking, the AI study coach, extra streak freezes, more focus scenes, and full history.
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy, including the trial length.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in.
- If you cancel, you keep everything free Stint offers. We never remove access to your own history, and features never move from free to paid.
Invite rewards
Bring a friend to Stint and you can both earn something. Here is exactly how it works.
What counts. A friend counts once they join through your link or enter your code (your username) when they sign up, and then study — five sessions on three different days. Joining alone doesn't count; studying does. This is so rewards go to people who brought in a real study partner.
What you get. Each step on the ladder in the app unlocks something: focus scenes, Pro time, an extra friend group, more history, an extra streak freeze or an extra exam countdown. Your friend gets two weeks of Pro when they join.
Free Pro is a promotion. Pro you earn by inviting is free and lasts a set number of days. It never renews and you are never charged for it. If you already subscribe, earned days are added on top.
What's yours to keep. Scenes and the extra limits are yours for good, even if a friend later deletes their account. Nothing you earned is taken back.
Limits.
- Each person can be invited by only one person, once.
- The whole ladder adds up to at most six months of Pro.
- Rewards are only ever things inside Stint. There is no cash, gift card or anything worth money, and rewards can't be sold or transferred.
What cancels a reward. Creating accounts to invite yourself, or inviting accounts that aren't real people. We may remove rewards earned that way.
Your sky can't be bought. Its stars, constellations and lines come from studying — yours, and never from paying.
We may change or end the invite programme. If we do, anything you have already earned stays yours.
What we don't promise
Stint is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for decisions you make based on it. It is a study tracker, not academic, medical or mental-health advice.
The AI study coach produces generated text. It can be wrong. It will not do your schoolwork for you, and you should not treat what it says as fact.
The coach comes with a usage allowance: 20 messages a day and 200 per 30 days, with a short pause if many messages are sent within a minute. The app shows how many you have left. The coach is for coaching your own studying; automated or scripted use, or attempts to get around the allowance or the coach's limits, are not permitted.
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending your account
You can delete your account any time from You → Delete account. That removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, and for serious breaches — the ones listed under zero tolerance — we will do so without notice.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Stint after that means you accept the new terms.
